Hello! My name is Hevelyn Kemer. I’m 27, originally from Brazil, and have over 6 years of experience caring for children—from infants to kids aged 7. I have a degree in Pedagogy, am CPR/First Aid certified, fully vaccinated, and fluent in English and Portuguese.

For the past 2 years, I worked as an au pair in the U.S., supporting families with love, patience, and a strong understanding of child development. I always strive to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment, while helping little ones grow and thrive.

I have a degree in Pedagogy and several years of experience working with young children in Brazil, especially in early childhood literacy. I worked for many years in the public school system, where I was responsible not only for teaching but also for nurturing and supporting the emotional and social development of my students. This experience gave me the opportunity to care for children in a holistic way, understanding their individual needs and creating a safe and loving learning environment.

I truly enjoy doing activities that combine fun and learning. I love reading books together, doing arts and crafts, and playing imaginative games. I also enjoy outdoor activities like going for walks, playing at the park, or organizing little nature discoveries. The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, the most important part about being a nanny is building a relationship based on love, trust, and respect. Children need to feel safe and cherished in order to grow confidently. Being present, patient, and genuinely caring makes all the difference in their development. I see my role not just as a caregiver, but as someone who helps build a nurturing and joyful foundation for a child’s life.

My experience with special needs children...

During my time in the Brazilian public school system, I had the privilege of working closely with children with special needs. I received professional training to support children with different learning styles and developmental challenges. This experience taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and adapting my approach to meet each child's unique needs. I truly believe that every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated just as they are.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was when a little girl I was caring for surprised me by writing my name and drawing a heart next to it. She told me I was her "best friend." That sweet gesture touched my heart and reminded me how meaningful and strong the bond can be between a nanny and a child. It’s moments like that that make this work so rewarding.
