As I stated in my Bio; I am a retired teacher after 20 years. I taught gifted talented, SPED in middle and high school. I was also a Human Resource Manager and a Lead Social worker prior to becoming a teacher. I'm a mother of 4 kids, and I am a grandmother to 4 children ages-2, 8 year old twins and an 11 year old. I love working with children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy teaching my grand children and my students how to read, play math games, and I believe that children should do extra curricular events, and play outside getting away from the TV, phones, and electronic games. I'm also a firm believer that children need love, attention, and some form of discipline to keep them on track. I was a former Department Lead of the Elective teams at two different schools. I taught twirling, cheer, dance, computer classes, journalism, Character Education, and etiquette. My background is also in Business, Computer/Technology where I taught the students how to type, and use Microsoft Office packages, and Business and Robotics camps in the summer.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is that I would treat them just like I did my former students, or just like they were my OWN children. They all need love and understanding. Two of my own children graduated with honors- one was in the top 7% of his class- Summa Cum Laude recipient, and my daughter graduated in the top 4 % and received Summa Cum Laude as well!
My experience with special needs children...
I love my special needs students. I was able to teach most of them about the computers, and how to type, how to create a Business. The students loved my class and I received several awards for helping these types of students. I'm a firm believer that" with God all things are possible!"
