More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have 8+ years of childcare experience with children of all ages, including two long-term nanny positions. Since August 2024, I’ve provided after-school care and family assistance for three children (1st, 5th, and 8th grade) in a busy professional home—handling school pickups, driving, errands, groceries, and organizing schedules. From [phone number hidden], I worked part-time with another family of three kids, supporting after-school routines, sports, meals, and homework. I’ve also cared for my niece from 3 days old to now 2.5 years, often during 12-hour shifts as her mom is a nurse. Other experience includes caring for a 1-year-old boy, two siblings (8 months and 2.5 years), and working in my church nursery. I’ve been on mission trips to elementary schools in Haiti and Jamaica, helping care for kids of all ages.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love spending time with kids doing hands-on, creative, and active activities! Some of my favorite things to do together include baking and cooking, going to the library for story time or quiet reading, doing fun crafts, and spending time at parks or exploring new places outdoors. I'm very active and love to keep kids moving, whether that’s through games, nature walks, or playing outside. I enjoy creating a fun and engaging environment where kids feel encouraged to be curious, creative, and confident.
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, the most important part of being a nanny is building real connections with the children and the family. I strive to create a sense of trust, consistency, and comfort—where kids feel safe, supported, and seen. I believe that strong relationships make the difference between just watching children and truly helping them grow. Whether it’s celebrating small wins, comforting them through tough days, or just sharing everyday moments, being a steady, positive presence in a child’s life is the greatest privilege of this work.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with older children with Down syndrome and autism. I approach every child with patience, empathy, and a commitment to understanding their unique needs and strengths
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments happened just last week as I was wrapping up my current position. The youngest child had a school project where she had to write what she wanted to be when she grows up—and she wrote that she wanted to be a babysitter like me. It was such a touching and meaningful reminder of the impact we have as caregivers, and it truly meant the world to me.
