A little bit about me

Hi! I'm Bella, and I'd love the opportunity to care for your little ones. I have more than five years of professional childcare experience through babysitting, coaching, and teaching children's theatre to kids of all ages.

My goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children feel supported, encouraged, and free to be themselves. Whether we're exploring outdoors, reading stories, getting creative with crafts, or playing games, I love finding meaningful ways to help children learn and grow through everyday moments.

As a figure skating coach, I've had the privilege of mentoring young athletes and watching them build confidence, resilience, and new skills. I bring that same patience, positivity, and encouragement to every family I work with. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your children, and I strive to be someone both parents and kids can count on.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

For several years, I've coached children in figure skating, working with everyone from large beginner groups of 18–20 children to private lessons and competitive team skaters. Coaching has taught me how to adapt to each child's unique personality and learning style while fostering patience, confidence, and resilience. I love encouraging children as they build new skills, overcome challenges, and celebrate their accomplishments. Those same qualities: patience, positive reinforcement, and creating a supportive environment are at the heart of how I approach childcare every day.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love planning creative, hands-on activities that spark curiosity and imagination. One of my favorite ways to spend time with children is exploring nature, whether it's going on walks, learning about plants and animals, or drawing what we discover along the way. With years of experience working at a botanical garden, I enjoy helping children connect with the outdoors through fun, engaging experiences that encourage creativity and a love of learning.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Supporting families and making everyday life a little easier is what I enjoy most about childcare. My goal is to provide dependable, high-quality care so parents can have peace of mind, knowing their children are safe, happy, and well cared for while they focus on work, errands, or simply taking time to recharge.

My experience with special needs children...

While my experience with children with special needs is limited, I am eager to learn and provide the best care possible. Through caring for my nieces, who have Type 1 diabetes, I have experience checking blood sugar levels and administering insulin. I understand that every child has unique needs, and I approach each family with patience, compassion, and a willingness to learn so I can provide safe, supportive care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite childcare memories was with a 10-year-old autistic boy who had a special interest in corpse flowers. Since I worked at a botanical garden, I arranged a behind-the-scenes visit to see our rare corpse flower and meet the horticulturists who cared for it. We spent the day talking about bloom cycles, drawing timelines, and diving into everything there was to learn. Seeing his excitement and watching him engage so deeply with something he loved was incredibly rewarding. Later, he wrote in his summer paper that it was the best day of his life—and it's a day I'll always cherish, too. Experiences like that remind me how meaningful it is to embrace each child's unique interests and help them explore the world with confidence and joy.
