One of my favorite nanny moments was watching a toddler I cared for take her first steps. We had been practicing every day, holding hands and encouraging her. One afternoon, she suddenly let go, looked at me with the biggest smile, and took three wobbly steps into my arms. The joy on her face—and the proud look on her parents’ faces when I shared the video—was priceless. Moments like that remind me why I love this work so much. Being part of a child’s milestones and watching their confidence bloom is such a privilege.
