Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Building forts and cardboard creations. crafts. Outings to the park or zoo. Bubbles on the beach, pretending we are construction workers or having a tea party. Legos are always fun. Baking and science projects (kinda the same thing when you think about it) hearing their silly jokes.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being mindful and patient. All kids are good kids they just need help figuring out thing. Are they having a tantrum because they are hungry or overwhelmed? Is something bothering them or are they nervous. Kids only act out to communicate something they don't have the words for.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for kids with ADHD, autism, diabetes, sleep apnea and epilepsy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Last week I hung out with one of my old nanny kids and she said she loved me more than Minecraft. Probably the highest complement I have ever received.
