A little bit about me

With over 6 years of childcare experience, I bring the confidence and understanding of an established nanny. I thrive in fast-paced environments and work well within a team. My areas of expertise include: developing age-appropriate activity calendars, supporting the unique development of adolescents, and creating nurturing environments where children thrive. I am CPR & First Aid certified, a confident driver, and am comfortable working independently! I am also a Native English speaker, an English major, and writer! I base my care model off of the Waldorf, play-based, and Montessori methods. I believe that children need a healthy balance of independent and guided play with a focus on open-ended, child-led play. I let the child take the reigns when playing to observe the schemas they're focused on and to help them develop their concentration. I also put a lot of emphasis on strengthening their emotional regulation skills from a very early age.
