More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at a children's museum in my early twenties. I specifically manned the arts & crafts room & taught kids how to use power/hand tools. I also was the musician for a class called "Tot Time" that provided enrichment for babies & toddlers.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Finding fun crafts to do together is always a good time. Or making a fun treat in the kitchen. Anything that promotes creativity is a win for me. Spending time outside is my favorite though. Nature walks, playing sports, riding bikes, or going to a nice park to play. Allowing them to take things in at their own pace. Play time is very important because it helps children to regulate their systems, so I keep that in mind when we're looking for something fun to do.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe creating a safe space for children to be themselves in is one of the most important parts of being a nanny. When kids feel safe they create positive & formative memories. It's our job as adults to preserve that environment for them to grow in.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for a hand full of kids/young adults with special needs or physical handicaps. Specifically children with autism or in wheel chairs.
