A little bit about me

I am a retired RN and Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in pediatric healthcare, child psychology, and clinical education. Often described as a "Mrs. Doubtfire"- type nanny, I blend medical expertise, warm intuition, and an energetic approach. I also work as a part-time Pilates instructor. With my grown daughter practicing medicine as an MD at UCSF in San Francisco, I miss having young energy around and would love to care for a wonderful child, pre-teen, or infant.

I focus on enriched daily experiences: Central Park adventures, museum visits, reading, music, art, and sports. Having cared for middle schoolers, I create a fun environment kids look forward to, and I am always happy to host their friends. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

1. Cared for a family of 3 children in New Hampshire while their mom worked, from ages 1 to 10.
2. Formally worked in San Francisco with one high school girl, picking her up and taking her home. I also cared for their dog.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I create enriched experiences across NYC, from Central Park and playgrounds to museums, art studios, bookstores, movies, Broadway, and the NY Public Library. I support dance, music, homework, spiritual growth, and sports like tennis, basketball, softball, and volleyball. I even take my daughter to horseback riding on the West Side every week. In the winter, I love ice skating in Central Park.

I love hosting their friends, walking the dog, cooking meals, or making quick lunches. My goal is to ensure your children are safe, happy, and content as they enjoy everything each new day brings.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Child safety in New York City is my absolute priority. As a native New Yorker, I bring keen situational awareness and observational skills to every outing. My experience with special needs children...

I have not had experience caring for special needs children. However, I saw children with special needs in my practice as a Nurse Practitioner and as an R.N.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I had a small party for her friends at her house. We had a great time making s'mores and building beautiful gingerbread houses for Halloween. Another time, we pretended we were explorers in Central Park. We came up with the best spots to find food, trails and shelter.
