A little bit about me

-Hello! I am a 34y/o female, relatively new to Buffalo. I am trained as a pediatric audiologist, and I have a special interest in babies, children, and with kids who have special needs and neurodevelopmental differences. As an audiologist, I have had extensive background/medical reqs completed in the past- willing to renew them! I have an interest in pediatric developmental milestones (physical, speech, and psych, etc.), and one of my favorite things to do is watch kids learn.

-I have 4 years of prior Nanny experience with multiple different children/ages. I also babysat a variety of kids during my teen years. I come from a large family, so while not all experience is professional, I do have a lot of it!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am the oldest child of 5 and an aunt to a pretty great group of kids! I have watched them consistently over their lives so far, but now that I've moved to Buffalo, I'm missing them a lot!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love art, reading, music, and exploring!
I also love to teach and learn when I can. Therefore, working on healthy coping and communication skills while helping empower kids is something I personally enjoy doing.
I love teaching about differences in kind and embracing ways that kids can understand. The world would be pretty plain if we were all the same!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love becoming part of a family and their lives. It is never something to be taken lightly. A happy, well-rounded family is a healthy family, and that's why I love to nanny.

My experience with special needs children...

Nannied a 15yr old girl with multiple disabilities for 2 years, still watch her on occasion.

LEND trainee, 2 years (Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental and other related Disabilities): Worked side-by-side with families of all sizes, cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds using the parent as the expert on their child to come up with holistic healthcare, find relevant resources, and family-centered care specific to the needs of each individual family.
