I have worked with two special needs children. I've never experienced any hardship when it comes to them. I believe everyone has their own way in connecting with others and making them feel safe and understood. I can say I have a gift in making others especially children feel understood because I have a cousin who I grew up with with special needs and came to understand my ways in helping them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
This one is hard for sure! My favorite nanny moment is was with my last family's children. I was taking care of this sweet little girl and she asked me why I don't look like I'm 53. I told her the older you get the younger you look., and proceeded to show her Benjamin button. She told me it was her favorite movie. I hope she still doesn't believe me. The shocked look on her face is something I recall to this day.😂
