A little bit about me

Hi! I have been a nanny,and working with children in NYC since 1987,at which time I was a live in nanny for 6 years and completing college with evening classes.

 I was a medical assisant from 1993 to the year 2000. From 2000 to 2018 I had a state licensed daycare in my home on the UWS. During that time,I cared for at least 20 newborns and all ages,up to 5 to 7 children,daily,in long term care.

I had a daughter in 1996 and,was raising her as a single parent,which was wonderful as I was able to be home with her after school,on holidays,etc.

 I am currently looking to care for a newborn/infant/ toddler and am extremely flexible,as my child is grown and I am single!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a licensed daycare provider for 18 years,as well as raising my own daughter..

I have cared for 2 children in a nanny share situation,in my home on 93rd Street for the last 3 years. Besides wanting to work privately,this is something I would consider doing again,as I have the space,and enjoy working with multiples,and it could be financially beneficial for all involved.

I love books and reading,
am very loving and engaged,and very happy to go on park outings,set playdates,and go to classes.

My experience with special needs children...

I cared for a child with epilepsy,one with slight language delays and one with extensive bowel issues,that required me to perform daily enemas and medical care.

I have to say that listening to them giggle and laugh is my favorite..I once cared for a little girl whose laughter was so adorable,I had wished I could bottle it!
