A little bit about me

Hey, I'm Lauren! I'm a young mom with a Master's Degree in Education: Curriculum and Instruction, and I'm finishing my Ph.D. in Educational Psychology: Human Development and Family Science.

I love kids and have worked as a first and second-grade teacher, as an education specialist in a group home for boys 12+, as a private tutor for ages 5 - 18, as a youth group leader, and currently host a story time for littles between 4 months and four years old.

I practice gentle parenting, sleep-training, and bringing my classroom experience into the home.

My goal is to find a family where I can help care for their young ones and bring my 21-month-old along with me.

During my time at the group home, I worked closely with children with autism, ADHD, ADD, oppositional defiance disorder, borderline personality disorder, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the littles who comes to story time was only 10 months old when we first met--she couldn't even walk yet! After being on vacation for two weeks, the next time I saw her she ran up to me and grabbed my legs with both hands. She's been running ever since, and it has been such a joy to watch her grow up and hit huge milestones.
