Hello! My name is Maira, I'm 39 years old, married and without children. I am a nanny in Upper East, I have been taking care of 3 very energetic children since October 2023, of 5/7 and 9 YO.

I have a huge affection for them, I take care with great dedication of their food (cooking), games, hygiene, clean and organization and activities after school.

I have experience in child care for more than 15 years. Professionally, in the United States since July 2022.

As a Live-in in CT, from Monday to Friday with children of then 2 and 3 years old, from August 2022 to September 2023. It was an incredible experience, but I needed to spend more time in NY, because my husband Is here.

I am looking for a new opportunity as a housekeeper or nanny with a new family in the NYC.

I'm from Brazil, my native language is Portuguese. I am making a lot of progress in the study of English Language and I also speak intermediate Spanish.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really like swimming and whenever I have the opportunity I take the children to the pool and I can give some fun lessons.
I also really like sports in general, I was a rower when I lived in Rio de Janeiro-Brazil, so sports activities are always a pleasure.
As I take care of 2 boys, whenever the weather is good we can play soccer.

Picnics are also constant on days off, I love preparing food with the little ones. During the winter, cooking also helps a lot in the routine, and they love to eat what they prepare.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Child safety first.
Follow the direction of parents in the development of the child with individuals, always in open communication with the guardians.

My experience with special needs children...

I still don't have this experience professionally, but as a family I do. My lovely older nephew is ASD level 2. And I participated intensely in its development and growth until the age of 10.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Every day when I ring the doorbell on the day they are at home, I hear them call my name with joy.
But each child brings a unique satisfaction to me as a professional.
