A little bit about me

Hi Seattle families! My name is Marissa (she/her) and I am looking for a family to nanny for. I am a former preschool teacher, and recently left my nanny role in Spokane to hike the Appalachian Trail and then move to Seattle. I also have experience working with children who are neurodivergent and I have taken courses in trauma-informed care. I have a Bachelor's degree with course credits in child development and educational psychology.

While nannying I work to create consistent routines, spend lots of time outdoors, cultivate kindness and warmth, and create and sustain positive and meaningful relationships with children and their families. I am open to light housework and cooking. I am certified in safe sleep, & CPR and first aid (wilderness, too!).

Some of my hobbies are hiking, quilting, and reading! My future aspirations include getting my master's in social work and working with children as a mental health professional.
