My relevant experience of working with children includes working through SYEP where I aided with supervising and planning fun and safe engagement activities for the kids. I have babysitting experience from family friends and younger cousins that included helping with snacks, playtime, and bedtime routines. Overall I tend to be the person at family events or weekends who looks after the younger kids to make sure that they have fun. I enjoy helping with art & crafts, playing games, and making the kids feel comfortable and supported. Overall, these experiences have helped me be more patient and responsible, but I feel more confident working with children now than I did a few years ago when I started.

I enjoy doing arts and crafts with the children, because they are able to tap into their creativity and let their imaginations flourish! I enjoy playing games (board games as well as outdoor active games) during our time together. I enjoy reading books together and using silly voices while reading so I can try to make the story come to life. Really, I enjoy anything that makes them smile, learn, and keep them feeling safe!
