Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've tutored for 6 years, both for institutions, like the Syracuse University Tutoring & Study Center, and for private clients. I have also gained childcare experience working as a babysitter and with the Somali Bantu Center in Syracuse, NY, where I helped refugee children of all school ages with homework and general childcare.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love childcare because it allows me to gain close relationships with kids and their families. I know that being a nanny goes beyond just "being there," and I love to enrich my role in any way that suits the family's needs. Childcare is collaborative, and I believe strongly that a nanny should be someone who can take the family's dynamic needs and adapt.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with ADHD, and gained experience working with people who are non-verbal, have cognitive impairments, or have developmental disabilities through an internship I held at Syracuse University (focused on people with Alzheimer's-type Dementia).
