More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have over 20 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator and have completed Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework. I have worked with children of various ages and developmental needs, providing daily care, supervision, engaging activities, and social-emotional support. My experience includes supporting children's learning, emotional development, positive behavior, and building strong partnerships with families. As a mother of three, I understand the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, and dependable environment where children can thrive.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and learning through play. As an early childhood educator at a play-based school, I love storytime, arts and crafts, imaginative play, sensory activities, and outdoor adventures. Some of my favorite activities include painting with different materials, building with blocks, creating obstacle courses, working on puzzles, exploring nature, riding bikes, digging in the sand, and making playdough. I also enjoy board games, card games, creative storytelling, dramatic play, and hands-on STEM and science activities such as baking soda and vinegar volcanoes. I enjoy creating fun weekly themes and activities that support children's cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development while keeping learning engaging and enjoyable.
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, the most important part of caring for children is building a relationship based on trust, safety, and respect. I believe children thrive when they feel valued, supported, and understood. Whether I am working as an educator or caring for children in a family setting, I strive to create a nurturing environment where children feel comfortable exploring, learning, asking questions, and being themselves.
I also believe strong communication and partnership with families are essential to supporting each child's growth and well-being. I especially value working with families who view caregiving as a collaborative relationship built on mutual respect, open communication, and a shared commitment to helping children learn, grow, and succeed.

My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working in inclusive early childhood classrooms that included children with a variety of developmental needs and learning differences. In those settings, I supported children's social-emotional development, modeled positive communication, encouraged appropriate peer interactions, and helped create a welcoming classroom environment.
While I have worked alongside specialists and one-on-one support staff, I am not a special education teacher, therapist, behavioral specialist, or BCBA. My experience has primarily been in supporting children within inclusive classroom settings rather than providing specialized interventions. I believe in being honest about my qualifications and would be happy to discuss whether my experience is a good fit for your family's needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments was watching a group of children turn a simple obstacle course into an elaborate adventure. What started as a few playground materials quickly became a jungle, a pirate ship, and then a rescue mission. Listening to their ideas and watching them work together reminded me how creative and imaginative children can be when given opportunities to explore through play.
