My name is Shareen and I’m looking for employment in childcare because I actually enjoy being around children. I love working with children and helping to nurture and bring comfort and joy to their lives. I have about 15years experience in childcare. I have worked with newborns all the way up to teens. I have done everything from changing diapers, feeding, bathing, play dates, arts and crafts, school drop offs and pick ups to driving and flying across the country for basketball and soccer tournaments. I’m a good driver who’s never gotten a speeding ticket in the 19years that I’ve been driving. I don’t drink, I don’t smoke and I’m somewhat conscious about what I eat. I was with 16month old Hawthorne one afternoon. We had just walked into the house from the park and I put him in the playroom and put Sesame Street on TV while I prepared some lunch. Two minutes in I hear a loud scream coming from the playroom, “Nooooo…Nooooo cookie monster!”. So, I run in there and Hawthorne is hysterical, his face is red and he’s genuinely crying and screaming “Nooooo Cookie Monster!”. I proceeded to pick him up and asked what was so upsetting that Cookie Monster did and he answered “he ate the wetter E” and I asked “he ate the letter E? Why is that so upsetting?” And he answered “E is for Elliott…you can’t spell Elliott without E”. Elliott is Hawthorne’s older brother and Hawthorne was genuinely worried that his brother’s name was ruined forever because Cookie Monster just consumed the only letter E in the whole universe and now his brother will forever be known as Lliott. Lol. I thought it was really cute how concerned he was.
