A little bit about me

Hello! I’m a 47-y-o transplant from Idaho who moved to NYC in Aug 2022. I was a nanny in CT, NJ, and IN from [phone number hidden], then got married. I began teaching preschool children in a Head Start program in IN for 6 years, then moved to ID, where I continued to teach with Head Start for 4 more years. I had a daughter at age 33, returned to school to finish my BA in Early Childhood Special Education (grad 2016), then switched gears and completed a Master of Social Work (grad 2018). While with Head Start I found my passion in working with children who have developmental disabilities/ special needs. Since 2015 I have been working with adults and children who have disabilities, in centers, community, and their homes. I currently am a Personal Care Attendant for two adults who have Cerebral Palsy, providing assistance and care in their home. I am eager to return to working with very young children, especially those who have disabilities.
