The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is allowing the child to be themselves. I briefly worked in day care before and one of the more upsetting things I witnessed was daycares not allowing the kids to have fun or be themselves. Child development is so important and a big factor to a healthy development is having a good relationship with yourself while you grow up.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and borderline personality disorder.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I worked with one child who was normally nonverbal when in public. After working with him and spending many hours playing C.O.D together, he felt comfortable enough to be verbal around me. This lead to him being verbal around his peers and being able to form relationships with kids his own age with similar interests.
