My son who is 27 now is Autistic..He now resides in a residential home.. He is non-verbal, but uses limited words or prompts to get his thoughts across... yes at times he self injures or rips clothes or tantrums, but thats part of his disability, but I love him to the moon and back..

When the little boy I cared for finally said my name, I almost cried. He was beginning talking.. when he dances to his favorite show.
