My experience with special needs children...

I have worked for a child with autism. Here were my duties:

Coordinated and presented medication to the child every morning, accurately following the instructions from the child’s doctor and parents
• Established an adequate hygiene and nighttime routine by brushing and flossing his teeth, showering him, applying his ointment, and reading him bed time stories.
• Foster a safe and loving environment for a child with autism
• Maintained a spotless household by occasionally cleaning and sanitizing common areas
• Prepped and cooked 10 meals a week for a family of 3
• Practiced speaking assignments with him and played educational games to help I’m improve in his communication.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment of being a nanny was when I taught to toddlers how to swim, and they learned very well and quickly. They are now able to reach each other and float on top of water. I think that is so beautiful!
