We are a warm, welcoming family who recently relocated to Palmer in February 2025. We live in a beautiful, spacious home with an open floor plan and a large yard in a safe, quiet, and family-friendly neighborhood. Our 7-year-old daughter, Hope, is a bright, kind, and well-mannered child with excellent communication skills and a love for learning. My wife, Alice, is a healthcare provider from England, working in the Mat-Su Valley. I am a retired U.S. Marine, now commuting full-time to Anchorage for work.
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, nurturing, and professional nanny to care for Hope after school Monday-Thursday and during specific times when our schedules require additional support. Our previous nanny left unexpectedly due to personal circumstances, and we are eager to find the right person to join our family.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Meet Hope after school (either at the school bus drop-off or pick her up from Pioneer Peak Elementary School) and provide care until Alice returns home by 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
• Provide childcare on days when I occasionally travel for work, including mornings
• Occasional evening care for date nights (flexible scheduling).
• Optional: For nannies seeking additional hours, we offer the opportunity to clean our home for a full 8-hour day once a week at the same competitive rate.
Requirements:
• Experience in childcare, preferably with school-aged children.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional with excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if picking Hope up from school).
• Ability to engage with a bright, academically inclined child through activities, homework support, or play.
• Background check and references required.
• Comfortable in a home with an open floor plan, pets (2 dogs, one cat) and outdoor space for activities.
