A little bit about us

I am looking for a temporary weekly date night babysitter who is available for occasional weekend days as well, (maybe once a month). Preferably weekly on Thursdays from 2:30 til 8:30. We have a current nanny we love but she is pregnant and will take some time off starting in May. Depending on when she is able to come back to us, this position could be for 3 months or become permanent.
We live in the Encinitas/Cardiff area East of the 5. We have a 5 yr old and an 8 yr old. Both are high functioning ASD with ADHD and our 5 yr old is still considerably speech delayed (probable apraxia diagnosis). They are both very high energy and love being outside as much as possible. Outdoor adventures are important in order to help them burn off that energy! Both kids currently have ABA scheduled Thursday evenings. Both kids are very sensitive to their babysitter paying attention to them and playing with them. We need someone who won't be on their phone and will be actively engaged with the kids.
Date night shifts would include picking up both kids from school (different schools), playing with them and keeping them active, cooking an easy dinner for them, cleaning up dinner dishes, cleaning up any messes the kids make (putting away toys, sweeping up sand tracked into the house or crumbs dropped on the floor), supervising/helping both kids shower and complete their bedtime routines, reading to them and putting them to bed and getting them to sleep before the end of the shift.
Weekend day shifts would be very similar except no therapy sessions or picking up from school.
The kids are San Diego Regional Center clients and get funding for respite care/babysitting. We are looking to hire someone as a babysitter/respite care provider to be hired as an employee of our family and the financial management service company that handles the SDRC funding for respite care. New hire process would need to be completed including completing an I-9, W4, back ground check and finger printing.

A little bit about us

This job is a nanny share for two little boys. They will be 5 and 6 months at the start time. Our homes are right by Orpheus Park in Leucadia. So we are in a prime location for parks and the beach. We are looking for full time, at approximately 45 hrs/week (8am - 5pm). We are looking for a full-time commitment for longer term. We would prefer not to try to find another nanny in a couple months. Both families have parents who will be working from home. Our role would also start in mid April (part time) and shift to full time. Looking for a caring career nanny. Multiples experience preferred.
