A little bit about us

Long-Term House Manager & Housekeeper Wanted – $18/Hour (Marigny, New Orleans)

We’re a warm and busy family in the Marigny neighborhood of New Orleans looking for a dependable, detail-oriented House Manager/Housekeeper to join us on a long-term, consistent basis. This is a part-time role (twice a week works well, but we’re flexible!) and we’re offering $18/hour for the right person.

We’re looking for someone reliable who will become a trusted part of our household — someone who truly enjoys helping a home run smoothly and takes pride in keeping things clean, organized, and efficient.

Responsibilities include:
• General housekeeping: cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, dishes, and keeping things tidy
• Running errands and receiving deliveries (including groceries)
• Changing bed linens and helping with organization
• Letting the dog out and light pet care
• Seasonal tasks like taking up/down holiday decorations
• Light meal prep (like packing lunchboxes occasionally)
• Helping maintain an organized, clutter-free home — from closets to pantry to common spaces
• Offering suggestions and improvements based on your observations
• Other reasonable requests as they come up

We’re hoping to find someone who is proactive, trustworthy, and takes initiative — someone who can grow with our family and become a consistent, valued part of our routine.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, we’d love to hear from you!

A little bit about us

Need child care for a sweet 5-month-old once or twice a week between 3-6 hours at a time. Sometimes I may be in the house getting work done as we just moved and haven't had much time to organize everything. I also have some maintenance to do elsewhere that requires me to be child free! We also have 4 dogs, you won't need to care for them but you should be comfortable with dogs, they will want to be let out throughout the day.

We are avoiding screens, so a typical day is just a lot of talking about stuff to baby and tummy time and sitting toy time etc. Typical baby stuff. He's very alert for his age!
