A little bit about us
We need someone who:
-Has reliable transportation and is a safe driver to help with school drop offs and pick ups.
-Doesn’t mind longer commutes for drop offs and pick ups: may be up to 30 minutes between locations depending on the day between Chesterfield and Wentzville areas, and could be another 30 minutes back to parent’s residence.
-Can commit to working 40 hours weekly for four 10 hr shifts coordinating with parents’ schedule and may require a start time as early as 5:00am in Chesterfield/Creve Coeur area. *Also willing to split between two caregivers!
-Patient and nurturing; while our children are typically well-behaved, some have ADHD and struggle with emotional regulation a bit more than most children
-Someone that truly cares and enjoys caring for children
Duties of this position includes:
-Assisting children in getting ready for school in the mornings and with breakfast
-School drop offs and pickups (sometimes to two different locations)
-Watching and playing with children on days where children have off school for holidays and breaks
-Food allergy knowledge and able to administer epi-pen if needed (mom is a nurse and will go over this with caregivers, and usually have lunches and food prepped ahead of time)
-May require staying home with mild-moderately ill child(ren), we will not ask caregiver to stay with a very ill child)
-May require picking up child early from school and staying with them if needed
-Light housekeeping and meal prep if able
We also have two cats and one dog between the two homes!
