A little bit about us

I'm a retail pharmacist and my fiance is a paramedic and we both work night shifts and some weekends. Looking for some help with drop-off/pickup from daycare and some weekend care (once a month). My daughter's name is Hadley and she just turned 4 in September. We also have a cat named Opie and he is usually fed around 6 pm.
Hadley would need to be picked up from daycare around 5 pm and watched until about 730 pm. I mostly need help on the occasional weekend (about once every couple of months). It would be 730 am to 730 pm on Saturday or 830 to 630 on Sunday.

A little bit about us

Hello! I have two great kids, 10 and 13, who need help with rides and meals when I can’t be there due to work.
We have had great success with live-in nannies if that is appealing to you, but it is no longer necessary if you would prefer not to stay with us.
My 13 yr old son plays soccer with sporting spfld which requires lots of practice and travel. My 10 yr old daughter dances 3-4 days a week and travels a ton for that as well. We also have the best dog on the planet and a hilarious cat.
My work hours vary greatly and it’s hard to commit to solid times every week we need nanny services, which is probably why the live-in scenario has worked so well in the past. If I had to guess, I think we need roughly 3-5 hrs Monday and tuesdays after school and I have the kids every other weekend but often have to work weekends unfortunately (the ER never closes).
Hiring immediately as of [phone number hidden] if the fit is right.

Cheers!
Joe

I have a smart and outgoing 8-year old boy who is looking for a new friend to hang out with I'm at work on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 8:30 - 3:30. He needs someone who can help him manage his virtual learning and has lots of energy for outside activities. He loves to jump on the trampoline and ride his scooter. Or just hang out and watch videos or play games.

The different types of nanny jobs have different nanny responsibilities. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. However, in general, a nanny is responsible for making sure the children's needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to make sure your expectations are aligned with the family.

There are temporary nanny jobs, even seasonal nanny jobs like summer nanny jobs. Beyond seasonal and temporary nanny positions, there are differences between full-time and part-time nanny jobs. The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Springfield. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want. If you're looking to explore live in nanny positions , it's even more important to create a shared set of expectations around hours, responsibilities, and what is expected of you when you're not on the clock.

How to Interview for a Nanny Job in Springfield, MO

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here is a list of some nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What do you think children like best about you?
  • What kind of activities will you do with children this age?
  • How do you handle problems that arise behaviorally and emotionally with kids this age?

Beyond answering questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative.
