A little bit about us
My husband and I are in need of someone who is flexible with their availability as our needs are based on my husband’s travel schedule for work. Sometimes this means he is gone three times a week, and sometimes this means he is only gone three days in a month. Our goal is to get sitters scheduled a week or more in advance, to avoid scheduling conflicts.
We understand that we will likely need to use more than one babysitter, as sitters fill up with work, but we would like to use the same sitters if possible (for consistency). The sitters would be at our home with one of the parents, while the parent is working. The sitter would be responsible for taking care of our little one including, teeth brushing, play time, reading books, changing clothes, diapers, cleaning up after the little one, etc. Hours for work would be during the work week (M,T,W,Th, or F) from 9am-6pm or 8am-5pm, depending on the sitters preference.
We are looking for something who is laid back, has a good sense of humor or at least loves to laugh, and generally loves children and dogs. See below regarding pets. We try to keep politics out of our house as we don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable and respect people’s views. The same for religion.
Anyone interested would also have to deal with the demanding pet requests from our three very large fluffy dogs, who are all very loving. We will warn you now, our dogs will try to sit on your lap and will try to manipulate you into giving them pets or holding them while they sleep. They will think you are here strictly for them.
Finally, any applicant unfortunately can’t be a smoker or from a smoking environment due to asthma condition with one of the parents.
We look forward to meeting you!
