We (both parents) work full-time, so it would be very beneficial to have additional help from a nanny, to help us watch Eli while we can occasionally catch up on errands and house repairs.
Mostly we would need help in the mornings, approximately 09:00 AM to 1:30 PM, and putting him to sleep for nap time during the 1:00-1:30 PM time window.

A little bit about us
Addie's primary challenges are related to anxiety, developmental delays, and seizures (these are rare). What we are seeking is a caring presence that can keep her anxiety to a minimum. In addition, she often needs supervision or reminders with basic tasks - taking medication, preparing food, brushing teeth and cleaning up after herself. We expect that this would be a "light duty" job - as Addie prefers to read a lot, and go to bed early. The ideal candidate would also be able to engage her in conversation, introduce new activities that help foster her interest in art, board games, etc. Being able to listen to her as she expresses any challenges or concerns is also important because she can become anxious. A background in counseling or therapy is ideal but not required. For longer stays, some basic meal prep may also be needed.
Schedule: Exact days/times could be sporadic; we only estimate 2-3 nights per month at most (~5 hrs. each), and then potentially 2 longer weekends per year, which could require staying over while we are away for 1-2 nights.
Our home:
We live in a quiet suburb of Austin, TX. Addie is the only child living with us. We have an older son that lives away at college.
We have one pet in the house - a very calm goldendoodle that loves people. Some basic pet care may also be needed (feeding, short walks, etc.), at least for longer stays.
If the need was to arise for an overnight stay, we do have a guest room with queen bed. We are happy to answer any questions about our daughter and what we are looking for.
