A little bit about us
The hours and days are totally flexible initially and we can figure out what will work best for the both of us.
I'm looking for someone who can take our son to the park, beach, classes, and supervise play at home with age appropriate activities. You'd also meal prep to ensure you can provide healthy meals and snacks for him.
We would also need someone to do light housework, including laundry, tidying our son's room, cleaning bottles, emptying the dishwasher, vacuuming the family room, etc.
We are looking for someone who can play on the floor with him, doesn't mind stairs, is physically active, is not on their phone or distracted, and can commit to at least 2-3 months.
I work from home so I am around a lot, though I try to ensure I'm not in the way.
Thank you!

We also have two small dogs that are very well behaved, but might ask for assistance with walking them in the neighborhood.

Our kids are outgoing and playful. They're also sweet and loving. They like to be outside and also enjoy pretend play. Our 5-year-old loves puzzles and dolls. Our 2-year-old loves trucks and bubbles.
We also have a 10-year-old golden retriever who is very laid back and doesn't require care (but appreciates belly rubs).
Please let me know if you think you'd be a good fit! Thank you.

We live in the Encinitas/Cardiff area East of the 5. We have a 5 yr old and an 8 yr old. Both are high functioning ASD with ADHD and our 5 yr old is still considerably speech delayed (probable apraxia diagnosis). They are both very high energy and love being outside as much as possible. Outdoor adventures are important in order to help them burn off that energy! Both kids currently have ABA scheduled Thursday evenings. Both kids are very sensitive to their babysitter paying attention to them and playing with them. We need someone who won't be on their phone and will be actively engaged with the kids.
Date night shifts would include picking up both kids from school (different schools), playing with them and keeping them active, cooking an easy dinner for them, cleaning up dinner dishes, cleaning up any messes the kids make (putting away toys, sweeping up sand tracked into the house or crumbs dropped on the floor), supervising/helping both kids shower and complete their bedtime routines, reading to them and putting them to bed and getting them to sleep before the end of the shift.
Weekend day shifts would be very similar except no therapy sessions or picking up from school.
The kids are San Diego Regional Center clients and get funding for respite care/babysitting. We are looking to hire someone as a babysitter/respite care provider to be hired as an employee of our family and the financial management service company that handles the SDRC funding for respite care. New hire process would need to be completed including completing an I-9, W4, back ground check and finger printing.
