A little bit about us

Aloha! Our family is looking for a full time sitter for our baby girl, Cora. She is 4 months old and an absolute joy. Schedule would be 8:30 AM - 4 PM Monday through Friday at our home up Waiakea Uka in Hilo. We are able to pay $15/hour plus some paid sick/vacation days. We'd like to eventually grow this into a nanny share in order to provide higher pay (if you're interested). We're down to earth people looking for someone who is energetic and responsible. Duties would include feeding, diapering, playing, and putting baby down for naps. No duties outside of childcare would be expected.

A little bit about us

I am looking for loving and competent childcare while I am undergoing medical treatment. My children mean the world to me but unfortunately for much of my treatment I will be unable to play with them and provide more than their basic care. Immediate need will be through March, with the possibility of a longer term arrangement for someone who is the right fit. I am unsure of the hours as I do not know how treatment will affect me but I expect 20h/week to be the average.

That is where you come in: I am looking for a bright, attentive caregiver to step in and keep them learning and exploring while I’m receiving care. A college degree is not strictly necessary, but the toddler has defeated almost every baby proofing measure and child-resistant container in the home, so you will need to be alert and able to think one (or four!) steps ahead. The baby is a dream but has learned from big sibling that getting into everything is loads of fun.

We live on an acre of land near town and the toddler knows how to pull weeds and harvest food. My parenting philosophy is to involve my kids in as many activities of daily living as I can and I would hope any caregiver for them would be able to do the same. The baby gets zero screen time and the toddler gets virtually none in our home. We eat most anything but the baby gets no MSG and no added sugar before 18 months. We do baby led weaning so the kids eat what we eat. We do not do “kid food”.

This is a neurodiverse and LGBTQ+ friendly home.

A little bit about us

My husband and I will be having our first baby at the end of December/beginning of January. We are browsing for a nanny to help watch our newborn starting in March, likely for 3 days/week. We are still working out details, but wanted to start looking now.

We also have 2 dogs that would be in the home at the same time, and may need to be let outside occasionally. Majority of care would be for baby though.

A little bit about us

We're a family of 4, two kids ages 5 and 3. James and Isabela love sports and art. We allow screen time but that time is limited as we try to encourage outdoor time and creativity. We live in California but we've been making frequent trips to Hilo for my husbands work in the last year. I'm able to work remotely as a video producer so the need for a part time nanny would be ideal. I would be in the house but as many of you know, young kids need attention and entertainment :) I would love to find a reliable nanny whom I can call each time we're planning a trip to the big island! Responsibilities can be discussed on 1:1 conversations as we start reaching out.
