A little bit about us
We are looking for someone with education and/or experience with Autism. Luckily we received her diagnoses at 3 y/o and got her into an incredible ABA program. Between that and Kindergarten at Early Light Academy, the autism tantrums are rare, but someone who knows about autism and that each child has their own unique quirks and needs. Our family recently located to Utah permanently because I was diagnosed with a very rare eye cancer, that has spread to my liver. We just found out the treatment protocol, and it’s a lot more than we thought.
I’m looking for an occasional and part time babysitter to help this summer while I am at the U of U Main Hospital, or for infusions and MRI’s at the South Jordan Clinic.
My husband leaves for work at 4:30am-about 2pm, but he has a lot of flexibility. However, I want to ensure he doesn’t get caregiver burnout from me or my daughter, on top of working.
I will be able to provide more solid scheduling information once the treatments are approved by insurance and we start. School ends on May 30th, but unfortunately this type of cancer is highly aggressive, and they will want to start immediately as soon as they get word from insurance. So if that pre approval comes in 2 weeks, there would be some drop off and pickup at school, which is less than 1/2 mile from home.
I would like to enroll her in swimming classes or some kind of therapeutic activities if possible, so that would be helpful for us.
Hope to hear from you soon!
