A little bit about me

In 1990 I took care of a baby boy in Queens. My sister just had her baby girl and found this job for me. I took care of this baby for almost a year and then left to take care of my niece. My sister was a single mom and after one year she went back to work. I did everything from preparing meals, going to parks, libraries, gymborees, beach clubs, zoos, aquariums and more. I totally enjoyed this experience, especially with my niece where I got a chance to go out much more. In 1996 me and my husband adopted our son David from Guatemala. He was just 2 months old when he was brough home. We went to Guatemala a few weeks earlier where we first met him, our lawyer and his foster mother. It was a wonderful experience. He is now 21 years old, a student at Bard College. I left my job of 18 years in October 2017. I would very much like to do something that I would enjoy. I love children, animals and have a natural, intuitive way of interacting with both. I am interested in working part time.

A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Meagan Olkers and I'm 20 years old. I currently study acting at the Stella Adler Studio. I'm from South Africa and is fluent in two languages. I'm looking to get some part time jobs babysitting because one I love children and two I think it's a really effective way to challenge my skills. Although, I'd be starting out new I am ready to learn and adapt to anything. I do have some experience babysitting my family and friend's children of different ages so I have a good understanding of what children may need or require on a daily basis. I'm available at all times so please feel free to contact me whenever you see necessary as my schedule is open. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope to work together in the future.
