My husband and I work from home, and I take consults as a doctor every 10 minutes or so, lasting about 10 minutes each so I will be in and out of my home office if anything is needed. Our girl has multiple play areas in the house upstairs and downstairs that are baby proof. She does love to eat so if you could feed her simple foods like pasta that would be great. We do have a dog and cat, well behaved, not allowed in play areas.
