A little bit about us

My significant other and myself work a lot. I am a family law attorney downtown. She is an event planner. We both live downtown across the street from a playground, grocery store, park, and dog park. I work from home 3 to 4 days a week. However, the hours require 80 to 90 hours a week. We are having our child in the next few months and would like to find someone to assist us. We have a cat and a dog that love each other. We are both in our early thirties and would like to find some balance and to make sure our baby is taken care of. We would like to work with someone as the baby grows up and we have another child.

A little bit about us

We are a family of 3 with our little baby girl that was born this year in August. Given that we both work full-time jobs in the corporate world (chicago downtown), we are searching for a reliable person to take care of our little girl and a family to share it with. We may be flexible, but initially looking at the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, starting October 1. Our family lives right next to the riverwalk.

My other half and I completed our Bachelors degree at DePaul University Driehaus College of Business.

Our family enjoys golfing, fishing, rock climbing, cooking, family gatherings, and exploring new places. We keep our home clean and organized to make sure that our little one is safe and comfortable. We love doing charity work. Personally, I have volunteered for UNICEF, Feed My Starving Children, Bernies Book Bank, Chicago Cares, and After School Matters.

Here are just some of the things we are looking for: from a nanny: *Someone who is punctual. *Someone reliable (preferably with a vehicle for transportation) and responsible at home. *Someone who is good with hygiene.
*Someone who doesn't smoke. *Someone who genuinely cares about the baby and will treat our baby as family.
*Someone who is passionate about caring for our baby. Baby musts:
*Can clean and change diapers. *Can make milk, feed, and make the baby burp after feeding. *Change clothes of the baby when needed.
*Make the baby rest or go to bed. *Knows how to hold a baby properly.
*Very careful with the baby and make sure she's well.
*Someone who is trained on CPR and First Aid,

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Chicago, IL

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Chicago, IL

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Chicago, IL? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
