A little bit about us

Hi there! We are looking for a nanny for our 11 month old son. We are looking for someone flexible but can also stick to a schedule. Mon- Friday from 11:30am until 3:30 or 4pm. Sometimes an occasional date night (he’s sleep trained so it would just be keeping watch on the monitor and watching TV or reading). Possibly even some weekends. There will be a pay increase every 3rd month and bonus’s here and there. We want you to feel happy and appreciate as we truly value our nannies so very much! Also, light house cleaning (making sure the floors are clean, counters are clean and things are tidy. Nothing major. Hope to hear from you!!

A little bit about us

James is a typical ten month old, smiling when you smile at him, crawling on everything and pulling to stand, he’s a happy go lucky little guy, getting better at solids. My husband works for himself and can care for him at the beginning of my work day and at the end. I need someone to start in the mornings, flexible on time, and stay till the afternoons. Most importantly thing is that we click and everyone is happy with the arrangement.

A little bit about us

Otis was born on Feb. 29, 2024 (a leap year baby!). He is very curious, and loves being held and cuddled. My spouse and I are looking for a nanny while we wait for daycare spots to open up. We both work full time and would like someone to care for Otis during work hours, and possibly a few hours on a weekend day here and there. We prefer a nanny share so that Otis can meet other babies around his age. We have no pets, and do not require any additional responsibilities.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Asheville, NC

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Asheville, NC

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Asheville, NC? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
