A little bit about us

Hi everyone! We’re looking for a temporary nanny in North Raleigh (near 98 / Creedmoor Rd, close to Wake Forest) for approximately 6 weeks, January 4–February 12, 2027, with the potential for occasional babysitting afterward.

Our daughter, Violet, will be about 6 months old. We’re looking for someone to care for her in our home while we work.

About us:
We both work in tech and primarily work from home (aside from occasional work travel), so we’ll typically be nearby. We value creativity, curiosity, kindness, and meaningful family time. We also have a friendly Border Collie. No pet care is needed, but you should be comfortable around dogs!

Schedule:
Approximately 34 hours/week, Monday–Friday:
• Mon–Thurs: 9:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Fri: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
We’re happy to work together on the exact schedule and are looking for someone who can commit to the full six weeks.

Responsibilities:
• Loving, attentive infant care: feeding, diapering, dressing, naps, etc.
• Breast milk and age-appropriate meal/snack prep
• Reading, tummy time, walks, music, and other age-appropriate activities
• Active engagement with Violet while she’s awake
• Baby laundry and cleaning bottles, pump parts, and feeding supplies
• Tidying up after activities and meals
• Simple daily updates on naps, milk/meals, and notable activities
• Open communication with us throughout the day

We ask that phone use be limited to naps/breaks or urgent matters, and we do not plan to introduce screen time unless requested by us.

What we’re looking for:
• Prior infant experience
• Warm, dependable, organized, and communicative
• Safety-minded with good judgment
• Engaging and creative with age-appropriate play
• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable around dogs
• CPR/First Aid is a plus, but not required

After February 12, we’d also love to stay connected with the right person for occasional babysitting/as-needed care.

Please message me if you’re interested or know someone who might be a good fit!

A little bit about us

I'm looking for someone to come to my house 4 times a week for 4 hours each time. Someone who can do everything-sometimes not with the baby, or cleaning, or organizing the house. She needs to be available to do whatever is needed. If she's taking care of the baby, then she'll only take care of her, and if not, she'll take care of the housework😊
(English speaking is not required.)

A little bit about us

Hello! We are looking for a family assistant and nanny on a fixed salary $[phone number hidden]. The ideal person would be someone who will join our family, potentially take our older child (3. 5) to and from day care (drop off by 8:30 and pick up by 4:30) and take care of my little one (8 months old) during the daytime (7-5:30ish). We prefer someone who is experienced with newborns and helping set little milestones for her and get her on a nap schedule then take the dog for a walk/dishes/meal prep. I will work from home most days, so you'll need to be comfortable with my ALL day meetings, grab a snack or run to the office quickly type schedule. You'll need to be comfortable with feeding expressed milk and transitioning to solids.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Raleigh, NC

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Raleigh, NC

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Raleigh, NC? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
