A little bit about us

We have a 5 month old and are looking for someone to come care for her part time while I work. We do have two dogs, so you’ll have to be comfortable with dogs- they are sweethearts and possibly let them outside while you are here occasionally. We keep our home very tidy, so we would just like you to help keep our baby’s things tidy. I will only be working half days so that’s all you would have to come for. Our baby has started solid foods and is breastfed but takes a bottle well. We would prefer a nanny that does not smoke!

A little bit about us

We are looking for a nanny to start the end of November for our newborn! The baby will be approximately 4 months old at the start of care.

We are asking for 2-3 days a week, with the possibility of additional hours throughout the week if the applicant is interested.

We would require someone that is okay with a flexible schedule because the 2-3 days change on a week to week basis (Mon-Fri)

We would need coverage from 7:30am-5:30 p.m. most of the time (based off of my husband's schedule); however, he does travel for work 1 week out of the month. During these weeks that he is away, we would need someone that could cover from 6am-8 p.m, which reflects my hospital schedule. Typically, we do know our schedules 2 months in advance.

We do have a yellow lab, so the applicant would need to be okay with dogs. We would like someone willing to let our dog out to go to the bathroom and refresh his water bowl throughout the day.

CPR/first aid certification required.

A little bit about us

Hi! My husband and I are in the process of family planning, but a major thing holding us back is the worry about child care. We both work full time jobs Monday through Friday and do not have family that lives locally to help us out. We are just exploring options and prices for child care prior to becoming pregnant so we know our baby and our wallets will be safe and protected! While things can change in the next year or so, we are expecting that around 4 months of age, we will need to be seeking full time child care. Thank you for your time!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Clay, NY

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Clay, NY

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Clay, NY? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
