A little bit about us

About us. We have 4 kids ages, 7 1/2, almost 6, 4 and 2. The oldest is in 2nd grade, the middle two go to school for half day. We are looking for someone M-F 8:30-4:30. We live in Madeira. The nanny would help the kids finish breakfast and get the older kids to school. The rest of the morning is the two year old. Then the nanny would pick up the Preschooler and the Kindergartner. (Due to COVID, we don't have bus service). After lunch, nap for the littlest ones. Arts & Crafts for the older ones. Then from about 3 pm, everyone is awake and we usually play outside or in the play room. Due to COVID, we stick close to home. We aren't doing any "field trips" or play dates.

A little bit about us

I am looking for a nanny to start on August 17th. We live in the Over-The-Rhine neighborhood, near Nicola’s restaurant.

Hours would ideally be 8:45am- 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday, but some flexibility is possible if someone is the right fit.

I have 3 year old and 1.5 year old sons. The 3 year old will be in preschool during the day, but you may be asked to pick him up around 3pm. The younger one will be the one with you through out each day:)

I work a fully remote job so will be in the home but in my office and need someone to keep my youngest occupied, and to help with light household duties (tidying kitchen, picking up children’s toys, sweeping).

Pay would be $15 hourly and a car is required for the position. A reference from a previous role is a big plus! Please reach out if interested!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Cincinnati, OH

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Cincinnati, OH

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Cincinnati, OH? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
