A little bit about us

Hi 👋, my husband and I have a baby boy on the way (due in September!) and are looking for a nanny share starting in December 2023/Jan 2024. We live in East Nashville and the ideal would be to share with someone on this side of town. Open to sharing hosting duties.
My husband and I both work full time but I have a less traditional schedule so we’ll only need part time. Not sure the exact days of the week yet but likely a half day either Monday or Tuesday and full days Thursday and Friday.
We have two cats and one dog so pet friendly folks are a plus.

A little bit about us

Hi! We are looking for a part-time nanny! I can be somewhat flexible with the schedule I just usually need Mondays and Wednesdays, but can be flexible on the other day/days and also can somewhat adjust if needed.

Our son is almost 16 months old and is really independent! He’s a great sleeper - only naps once a day typically 12-2:30. He’s also a good eater - we did baby led weaning and occasionally he just doesn’t want to eat much of the meal, but usually eats really well! He’s a pretty balanced walker at this point and loves to run around!

We have multiple play areas in our house toys/games and our front porch is large w/ outdoor toys and a water table. We have a nice front yard area where you can play in a little beach tent and have options for baby pool and sprinkler on hot days! We also live right next to Charlotte park where there’s a playground our son loves and he also loves to just walk around or play on the basketball court. With a safe driver and once we are comfortable - we are open to letting you drive our car with our son to the library for story time or other fun activities nearby!

-There will only be light housekeeping - cleaning up meals, picking up toys, maybe a little laundry, but nothing big! He naps usually 2-2.5 hours so there’s some cleaning then, but you can definitely take a little break for sure!

-We like to follow the research and our parenting is really focused on communicating with our son consistently, setting boundaries and holding those, validating his feelings, supporting his problem solving, etc. But we are also totally normal too and not perfect with this!

- We try to set it up so our nanny is really happy as well so communication is huge. If there’s something that you feel like needs to change to be better for our son etc. we are always open to feedback and want to make sure you are happy in your role as well!

-We are looking for someone with experience with young toddlers and CPR/First Aid Certified (or willing to get)

I am looking to hire workers for the Christ Presbyterian Church Nursery. Childcare providers are responsible for a small group of children, 3 years old and younger, in our church nursery. Candidates must be able to communicate well with parents and fellow staff members, engage children and follow church safety policies. This is a weekly commitment from 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. There may be childcare opportunities for other church events and to make connections with families looking for occasional sitters. We are looking for someone who loves to be with young children and can make their classroom a safe, secure, and joyful place! https://www.cpalions.org/about/employment

We would typically need care from 8:00 to around 3:30-4:00 pm on a typical day. Some days would be shorter and potentially a little longer (5:15 pm). We need care for our 5 month boy, Oliver. A little bit about us

Hello! My kids are a hilarious, feisty two-year-old and a 4-month-old baby. I am a full-time law student and my husband works in mortgages. We are looking for a nanny to provide childcare from 8-5 on weekdays from our home. We also have a medium sized dog. Our nanny would not be responsible for him, except letting him in and out of the backyard as needed. Only responsibilities would be childcare (diapers, feeding, occasional doctor's appointments, etc.). We are a laid-back family who love the great outdoors, Nashville, and each other.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Nashville, TN

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Nashville, TN

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Nashville, TN? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
