A little bit about us

I am returning to work (from home) after some time off, and I’m looking for help for half days during the week. I’d prefer afternoons but can be flexible.

My daughter is 8 months old, and she is very active. She likes walks, has started crawling and cruising, and loves to eat! She is pretty attached to me because she's been home with me for the last 3 months, so there might be some challenges at first with things like bottles and nap time without me. She's a really happy baby, but I do need someone who is confident handling the occasional meltdown and separation anxiety.

I will be working from home, but if you are in my home, I will be trying to stay out of sight during the time you are there.

I’m looking for a nanny share as an alternative to daycare because I am trying to practice social distancing, and I would like to work with others who are doing the same!

A little bit about us

My husband and I are looking to join a nanny share. We are a bilingual home. Ideally, we would have care from 7:30am-5:30pm. My daughter is a sweet and fun toddler! We are expecting our second in July 2022 and we hope to have him also join after my maternity leave (sometime in September 2023). We want our children to be good people and good stewards of the world and opportunities granted to them. We have been in a nanny share before and had a really great experience. We can drop off and are open to cohosting. I work in a hybrid environment and am home part time during the week.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Austin, TX

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Austin, TX

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Austin, TX? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
