A little bit about us

Hello! I mostly work from home, but will spend some days in the office. My husband works from home full time. We had our daughter in February and are looking for a nanny to help out M-Thurs and mornings on Fridays. I usually work 9-5 with some potentially earlier meetings. We are both pretty flexible though! We have two small dogs in our home, but no expectation of care. Our daughter is taking formula and is a decent day napper still. Really just would love help during the day when we’re both on calls. We would like to have a nanny share in East Austin/Riverside

A little bit about us

Hi! We are looking for a full-time nanny for our 6 month old starting in about June 2022. Both myself and her father work from home at least part-time. Ideally, we'd have coverage Monday-Thursday for most of the work day, with Fridays optional. We can work a flexible schedule for those who prefer it (occasional early/late start finish, evening babysitting) or stick to an 8-6 4 days/week. We both sometimes travel for work though it has never been at the same time. There is an option to travel with me (mother) and baby if desired within the US, obviously dependent on family we are paired with and their schedule.

We'd expect most duties related to childcare with some light housekeeping related to baby like bottle cleaning, lunch dishes and toy cleaning.

Care can take place in our home or other location.

Thank you!

A little bit about us

My wife and I have a 4.5 mo son. I work out of the home, and my wife will resume her home office position at the end of her 6 month maternity leave. We're exploring alternatives to daycare, and are looking for another family with an infant who is willing to share the cost of a nanny. We can alternate homes, if needed, or come up with an arrangement that works best for everyone.

A little bit about us

We’re moving to Austin this summer and looking for a nanny for our two children. Our son, who was born last November, will need full-time care. Our daughter, who is turning three in August, will be attending pre-school and will only require after school care.

My husband and I both work from home, and need care from about 8am-5pm (we can be a little flexible with start/end time) M-F starting in early August, ideally for a long-term commitment of 12 months. We’d like light baby related housekeeping, like bottles and dishes, toys/play things tidied, and possibly some school pick-ups for our daughter.

He’s a mellow baby and she's a loving big sister who has been in a Montessori school since 3 months. We’re a pretty laid back family, but prefer limited screen time for both kids. They love being outdoors, so we'd like someone comfortable spending time in the yard, taking walks, doing splash time, etc.

At least 2 years experience and references required; CPR/baby safety training preferred; Montessori experience/knowledge a plus.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Austin, TX

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Austin, TX

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Austin, TX? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
