We've had my son (2.5) in family child care, but are considering a nanny or nanny share now that we have two (baby girl was born 3/12!). Start date would be end of May/beginning of June and my son would be going to full day pre-k in the fall. We're in North Frederick (near the Onelife Fitness)

A little bit about us

Hi! We have a one month old who will be in need of an in-home nanny 2 days a week when I go back to work in July (so he will be 3 months then). I work close to home and am also available to work from home if needed. I mostly just need an extra set of hands (if I’m working at home) so I can focus. If I do go into the office the days you are here, I will be home between 12-1, so I would be here at the tail end of your shift. We are looking for someone two days a week (likely Monday and Wednesday) from 8 am-2 or 3pm. We have a dog and two cats, so you must be comfortable around animals and may need to give occasional scratches to some needy fur babies :). This would be a pretty laid back gig, and you are welcome to the tv and snacks (when time allows).

I have two kids the first one is 4 and the second one is 10 months. We grew up on a farm and the kids love being active and love adventures! I would love for someone to give me a break so I can clean in peace or go to the gym. I would like someone to come to my house and either take the kids on the playground or take them on market street for an ice cream!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Frederick, MD

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Frederick, MD

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Frederick, MD? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
