A little bit about us

I have twins (boy/girl) that are 10 months. They are super sweet, friendly, and happy babies that like to roll around and play with blocks. My husband and I work from home but are looking for a part-time (2-3days per week) nanny/babysitter with the potential to become full time. We need someone who is willing to do developmental games, feedings, walks outside, and help with cleaning the twins bottles, keeping the nursery tidy and help with their laundry is a plus but not mandatory. We have a super friendly dobbie but he will either be locked up or at daycare during the day. However, someone who is good with pets is strongly preferred. Lastly, Jeremy and I are very out going people who care deeply for our twins. We’re looking for someone who can be an extension of us and will help our twins hit their milestones, learn and explore. If this sounds like you, reach out!

We are first time parents looking for someone to care for our 10 month baby girl, while we work from home. She is happy, loves her toys & enjoys cuddles! Ideally, the nanny should be experienced with caring for babies under 1 and CPR/first aid certified. Also, she should be able to speak English well.
We are looking for someone who can work 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday and be with the family long term. We also need someone who is flexible with the work duties from day to day - the baby will take 2 naps during the day and this time could be used to do some chores for her.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Potomac, MD

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Potomac, MD

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Potomac, MD? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
