A little bit about us

My husband and I are expecting our first child in May. However, I am returning to work in August and looking for a nanny but am open to a nanny share as well. My husband and I both work in DC so we are looking for someone from around 7am-3pm. We have a sweet, 7 year old pitbull at home named Newton as well. We are looking for someone to have their own form of transportation and be CPR/First Aid certified. Would love if you speak Spanish as our child will be going to a dual language school in the future. Though appreciated, we do not need any meal prep or light house keeping (just cleaning up after oneself).

A little bit about us

My wife and I are looking for a nanny to care for our 9-month-old starting mid-June Monday-Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m (rough schedule). We have a goofy lab dog and spunky cat. We have been strictly quarantining and are hoping to find a nanny that has been doing the same.

Our ideal match would have his/her own vehicle, be okay with pets, non-smoker, and have experience with babies.

We are looking for a great nanny to join us for 6 months to a year.

A little bit about us

We are a small business-owning couple residing in an apartment in Silver Spring, and we are currently seeking a loving and reliable nanny to care for our 6-month-old son. As we both run our businesses, we need someone who can provide consistent care three days a week and alternating Saturdays allowing us to focus on our work with the peace of mind that our little one is in good hands. We are looking for a nurturing individual who can assist with feeding, diaper changes, baths, and engaging activities that promote our son's development. Additionally, light cleaning and meal preparation are part of the role, ensuring a smooth and comfortable environment for our family. If you're someone who is caring, responsible and has experience with infants, we would love to hear from you.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Silver Spring, MD

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Silver Spring, MD

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Silver Spring, MD? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
