Needing someone to watch my baby in the morning before my husband gets home from night shift. Hours will be 5am-noon Thursday - Saturday. Duties include watching baby, changing/feeding, and letting the dogs out. My husband will be home about halfway through the shift but would like a nanny until noon so he can sleep/get things done without worrying about the baby.

A little bit about us

My fiancé and I are looking for a nanny for our 6 month old son. I work from home, so I will be working in our home office aside from in person meetings I need to go to. My fiancé works outside of the home full time. We want someone who will care for our son while we are working. I will breastfeed when I’m home with him. He’s started eating solids also and has breastmilk pumped that can be unthawed. We would love someone who will read to him, play with him (tummy time), rock him to sleep for nap time etc. We probably won’t need 40 hours a week since I work from home but we are thinking maybe M-F from about 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. We have all holidays off so you’d have holidays off as well. We are looking at a few options for nanny’s, let me know if this is something you might be interested in.

A little bit about us

My wife and I both work full time. Our jobs are kind of odd because I work the same three days on the night shift and she works a 5-5-4 schedule on days. We only need someone on the three days that I am working. We are both first time moms and our baby girl is due in October with care starting in December/January. Would prefer to have someone that could help us out Monday-Wednesday from 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (8 hour days).

A little bit about us

Hi! My name is Courtney and we have a wonderful son 6months old named Conner. He was born 2 months prematurely, so we are currently on an adjusted milestone curve. We are needing someone to watch Conner 6am-4pm on Wednesdays and possibly Thursdays or Fridays. We do have a dog who loves the cuddles and will just need to be let out throughout the day.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Independence, MO

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Independence, MO

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Independence, MO? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
