A little bit about us

I just got hired working in a nursing home. I'm looking for someone who is through Job and Family and is state certified with them. My children are sweet and love to play outside with supervision. I would need someone At least three days out the week day and one day out the weekend but schedule will vary for example the weekend and one week day. My six year old is allergic to cashews and pistachios but my other kid's have no known allergies.

A little bit about us

Our family is looking for an energetic and attentive nanny for our (currently) 2 children. My wife and I do foster care in addition to our 2 year old son who needs someone who is willing to work with him on a daily basis to help with his sensory processing disorder. Additionally, we would like someone who is a good housekeeper and can complete menial cleaning tasks around our home while the kids nap or do activities.

We are in need of someone who can be available 5 days a week between the hours of 8:30-5:00. Must have a drivers license and willing to possibly assist with appointments occasionally. Must be ok around our dog and comfortable with me working from my home office during the day (I wouldn’t bother you though! I’m in the basement the whole time except for a few minutes during lunch when I grab a sandwich and go back or when I need to let the dog out.)

If you feel that you would be a good fit we would love to talk with you!

A little bit about us

We have a lively toddler (3 at the end of may) and a sweet 7-month-old that we are struggling to find steady childcare for. I am a cosmetologist, so I make my own schedule, which means I can pretty much work with whatever availability that someone has. We live in Newark, close to downtown, 16 and 79. My 3-year-old does have some allergies to pets, and an allergy to eggs, so we are looking for someone who doesn't have pets, or can come to us. Non smoker is necessary, as we do not smoke.

A little bit about us

We are two busy working professionals looking for an additional set of hands to help care for our 3-month old son, Donovan. I work from home 99% of the time, my husband works out of the home 3 days a week. My mother is available to take him a few afternoons a week, but we’re hoping to fill in the gaps with some structured in-home care. I don’t expect you to clean or do dishes or care for the pets (we have 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 3 chickens!) - any extra duties can and would be discussed in advance. Our main hope is to find someone we can trust to care for our kiddo when we physically cannot. We’d prefer in-home to keep things simple and less stressful for our son. We are looking for someone hardworking, trustworthy, dedicated, and communicative.

We’re anticipating 15-20/week mostly on Mondays and Fridays. Some other weekday mornings may be needed, as well. No weekends, no evenings.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Newark, OH

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Newark, OH

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Newark, OH? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
