A little bit about us

I work from home on the island but also have an office in Bluffton I will be working a lot more from. My wife is a nurse anesthetist and will be working 2-3 shifts per week. We will be looking for help those days from approximately 7-8am until 3-5pm. We also will be looking for someone who may be interested in traveling with us here and there (not a requirement). We are both laid back and are looking for a calm provider to spend time with our little angel, a newborn baby girl born in June. Our house has a very nice pool and outdoor area, a comfortable place to watch a child and located close to the bridge, avoiding a lot of the HHI traffic. We want to start talking with providers soon but my wife is not slated to go back to work until later October at earliest. Please contact us with any questions!

We also have 2 golden doodles, 12 and 4 and they are the best dogs ever, very low maintenance. Our back yard is a fenced 1+ acre, no leashes, etc…just open the back door and let them out for potty breaks. If I am home, I’ll handle the dogs.

A little bit about us

I work at home and my wife is a teacher. I would love to provide care all the time, but my job does not allow that. Our son was born in April of 2022. We are looking for someone roughly +-20 hours a week. We are non-smoking and have no pets. We are willing to pay gas if not on the island and willing to negotiate an hourly or weekly rate. Our son has lots of energy and loves to be active. He enjoys being outside, loves Sesame Street, and is a great cuddler.

A little bit about us

My husband and I are looking for a part time nanny to start in June or July. We need someone 2 days per week and the days worked are flexible to what days you are available (M-F). The hours are approximately 8am to between 4-5pm. We have 1 daughter who is going to be 2 in June. We would prefer someone who can watch her in our home but would be open to discussing her being watched in your home or doing a combination of the 2. We need someone who has reliable transportation, is a non-smoker, and is CPR certified. We have 2 very friendly dogs so we would need someone who is comfortable around dogs as well. Thank you!

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Hilton Head Island, SC

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Hilton Head Island, SC

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Hilton Head Island, SC? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
