A little bit about us

Hello! My son’s name is David. He is currently 10 weeks old and is special needs. We are looking for a nanny that can help with brain development and motor skills. Every week he will have 6 hours of therapy that the nanny will be involved with and will teach us his “homework”. We are looking for someone that has prior experience as a nanny, especially for special needs children, and that genuinely loves teaching and playing with kids. Our nanny will be expected to feed, change diapers, light baby laundry, and general care of David. Hours will be Monday, Thursday and Friday 9AM to 3PM. There is a possibility of increasing hours/days after a few months. We do have a corgi, Sheldon, that our nanny is not expected to care for. He is David’s best friend and will “help” care for David, so we need a nanny comfortable with dogs. We look forward to you becoming a member of our family.

A little bit about us

We are looking for someone to take care of our little man Atlas. He is 1 ; he loves Ms Rachel, getting into things, his dog Daemon, talking and being talked to. He is a very smiley toddler, with quite the personality.

We are looking to have someone come in a few times a week so my husband and I can spend some time together and I can start my business up again.

We are looking for someone who will actually engage with him. He is starting to want to learn, engage and talk.

Work hours : 2 - 3 days a week
two weekdays/ afternoons and 1 weekend day

Responsibilities : Look after Atlas, keep him happy and engaged. Weekday bedtime routine. Keep Atlas room clean/ stocked, his laundry/dishes.

If Atlas is sleeping, light housework (chop up a watermelon, quick vacuum, etc) we are a minimalist family so our house is easy to keep up.

Pet care: Daemon our 1.5 year old puppy. He needs to be let out for a pee (he rings a door bell to let you know) and feed him if we are out for an evening. He is a Doberman Pinscher, we were contemplating changing his name to Velcro because once he knows you he will follow you everywhere! And I mean everywhere… If you are not comfortable with large dogs, please do not apply.

A little bit about us

9-month-old girl and almost 2. 5-year-old boy needing a part-time nanny as I return to work! Husband's family is from Poland so we are teaching our children both English and Polish. Both children have sweet/fun loving personalities. 2. 5-year-old is somewhat shy at first but warms up quickly. 8-month-old takes short morning nap either at home or on the go if out for morning activity. They both take a long afternoon nap around 1-3pm! They are pretty easy going when it comes to entertainment. They enjoy water play, walks in their wagon, blocks, music, the library right down the street, etc. Currently in the hiring process for my job so exact schedule may vary somewhat on which days of the week but looking for 3-4 days/week consistently. We can work out details as we go and make sure our needs align with your availability as well.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Plano, TX

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Plano, TX

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Plano, TX? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
